Cuban Banking Study Group
Established in 1992 by a group of Cuban bankers with a shared interest of the economic and financial aspects of their homeland.
The Cuban Banking Study Group was created by a group of Cuban American bankers who wanted a formal way to discuss the economics of Cuba, along with its banking and market industries.
The groups major work focuses on a report published in 1995 regarding the history of the Cuban banking and financial system from 1832 to 1992. The report includes findings about the state of Cuba’s current financial system, how it has changed and evolved over a century, and what the group recommends for the system as the future of Cuba approaches. The group collaborated with multiple Cuban bankers, as well as international bankers from all over the globe to provide the best insight possible regarding Cuba’s banking and financial system.
