Luisa María Güell, Cuban-Spanish interpreter born in Havana. From an early age Luisa Maria Güell studied piano, ballet, Spanish dance and dramatic art. In 1964 he became a youthful star idolized by all. She performed in film and theater and recorded his first albums. She was popular in Cuba thanks to his charisma and the timbre of his voice. She left Cuba for Madrid, Spain in 1968. In 1969, by the hand of the composer Manuel Alejandro, she won the first prize at the International song Festival of Malaga. In 1972, representing Spain, won the award voice and song with the theme of Herreros and Armenteros “Yo me enamoro de ti” in Puerto Rico. In 1979 he got in Paris, representing Spain, the award of author and interpretation and was awarded the gold medal Edith Piaf as author and composer, being the first non-French artist to receive it. She also musicalized and interpreted “La Edad de Oro” of José Martí, for which she was awarded “In the company of women.”
