Manny Diaz, Jr. was born in Hialeah, Florida. He was educated at St. Thomas University in Miami, earning a B.A., Human Resources, and Nova Southeastern University, where heearned an M.S. in Educational Leadership. Diaz established a career in higher education administration.

Diaz was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2012. He has served as President of the Hialeah Miami Lakes Republican Club, board member of the Children’s Trust, State Committeeman for the Republican Party of Florida, and member of the Education Commission of the States.

He is married to Jennifer Diaz of Hialeah, Florida, and is the father of four children.
