Stage and TV actor, singer, and voice artist Raul Eduardo Esparza was born in Delaware in 1970 and raised in Miami, Florida.  He graduated from Miami’s renown Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in 1988.

Esparza is best known for his role as Rafael Barba in the popular show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.  He has been nominated in all Tony categories for which an actor is eligible.

In addition to his roles in television productions, Esparza has thrived in Broadway theater, including a performance in 2000’s The Rocky Horror Show, which won him the Theatre World Award.
