Danny Valencia
Danny Valencia was born in Miami, Florida. His father, Michael Valencia, is a Jewish Cuban exile. Danny grew up in Boca Raton, Florida.
In 1996, Danny played for the Boca Raton Babe Ruth League 12-and-under all-star baseball team that won the Florida state championship. The next year, he played for the Boca Lightning 12-and-under travel baseball team that won the South Florida All-Star Travel League championship.
During his college sophomore year, Danny played first base for the University of Miami Hurricanes. Later in his minor leagues career, he was promoted to the high A Fort Myers Miracle. Valencia earned Florida State League (FSL) “Player of the Week” honors. Valencia was named a Florida State League All Star, and helped the Miracle capture the FSL 2008 Western Division first half crown.
He is now a professional baseball player in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics, and Seattle Mariners.
